Everyone that sees Rip say's he is an awesome animal. Rip is

a
result of when the best of the uplands meets up w/ the

best of the duck sloughs. Rip is living up to his

very impressive pedigree that includes

five GMPR's and too many other titles to list.

Rip is out of GRHRCH / MH Gator Pt's

Magnum Gentle Ben, and our

State Pheasant Hunting Champion and

NAGDA Nationals "Top Five "

In his first season, Rip floated the Big Horn River, hunted in

Canada & took part in our 700 bird release hunt. Rip was

educated on boats, hunting, big water ,cold weather

and he knows to scan the skies, and he does not

make a sound in the blind.

Rip hit's the water with extremely high energy and is marking

great. Rip quarters the field nicely, and he has a very stylish

point. In January, Rip held points for minutes until I figured

out where he was in thick cover. Lucky for me, I could not

call him off the quail he was pointing !

Rip is just Awesome !

In his second season Rip went directly from the HRC

test in the south ( 1st Finished Pass)

to the frozen rivers in Montana.

He can withstand the cold of retrieving 20 +

birds out of an icy river and point rooster's

on the river bank on the way back.

Rip marks triples and quads, and handles out of site

to retrieve birds we sailed. This is also the same dog

that hangs out in the house, and sleeps w/ me

at night on hunting trips. Rip is my son

Riley's favorite dog.

The "Growler"

Rip, now in his third hunting year shows the signs a a crafty

veteran. Rip should have been named Duck Diver or

Sky Scanner, because he is

awesome ! just patiently waiting as hundreds of ducks

land in the dekes,

waiting until his name is called.

Rip's experience is not limited to the blind,
his genetics are for point, and boy
can he do that !

Rip has a fantastic nose, and proved it again for me in Dec '07. While carrying out duck hunting Rip went on point, I was able to set down the dekes, load up and go in for the flush.

I dropped one ( not bad for #2 Steel)

and sent Rip for the retrieve.

Get this,

Rip pointed another quial on his way back ,

with the dead quail in his mouth from the first flush.

Awesome!

As you can see, we are having

a great hunting season again.
